Ongoing A361 work /Borners Bridge

Please see an explanation from Griffiths of the ongoing work on the A361.

As you are aware the North Devon Link Road widening scheme was substantially completed in December 2024. Since this milestone, the road users have benefited from an improved journey experience. We are currently completing the outstanding works scope which includes snagging. The scheme includes upgrading the existing highway drainage network into which the improvement scheme connects. Also, we have a number of minor works to complete and will endeavour to close these out with minimal disruption.

The works at Borners Roundabout is planned to be completed by the Christmas holiday break but this is subject to weather conditions. These works will continue to operate under temporary traffic lights at night to avoid disruption to the road users. During the Christmas / New Year period there are no planned works on the highway.

We will return in January to complete others area along A361, working at night under temporary traffic signals, with a planned completion date of March 2026. Works to maintain the planted landscaped areas will continue for several years until all plants are well established, but this will only involve occasional visits.
